About the Brew
- About the Brewer:
This beer was brewed by Anthony, Shipping and Packing Technician here at Lakefront. Every day, Anthony’s at his post, bright and early, ready to handle anything the workday brings. Whether he’s inventorying kegs, picking cases and building pallets, or packing variety packs, Anthony’s hard work gets beer into a semi-trailer and out the door.
Anthony loves cooking. So much so he’s gradually furnished the breakroom with kitchen appliances: a microwave led to a countertop oven, then an electric skillet. He’s especially adept at barbecue, evidenced by the aroma wafting from the breakroom of a slow-cooked shoulder or shank that he’s reheating for lunch.
- About the Beer:
Anthony brewed this Kellerbier, or “cellar beer,” a German style lager meant for summertime biergarten enjoyment. Like his barbecuing, Anthony knows a good thing takes time. Good thing he’s got the patience for the required long, cold fermentation. Pairs nicely with that barbecued pork shoulder he’s making, too.
Lying somewhere between a helles and a märzen, this unclarified, unpasteurized lager to pour up coppery amber with a fine, off-white head. Expect a medium body, German malt flavors of fresh bread crust and mild whole-grain toast, paired with peppery noble hops, and an easy, off-dry finish.
