About the Brew
- About the Brewer
This beer was brewed by Michael Stodola, Lakefront Brewery’s Brand Manager. Stodola is the architect of the Lakefront brand and designs most things around the Brewery, from packaging, to advertising, to POP, to Beer Hall decor. He’s a branding expert with an eye for design. He’s also involved in beer development, vision, and media relations.
When Stodola isn’t busy with brand or design, he’s building custom furniture or creating art for his side hustle, Milwaukee Modern. He’s also close with his two children, and his Weimaraner. Of course, he also loves riding his 1940 Harley UH.
- About the Beer
Stodola wanted to brew a beer as a tribute to his family; his father and grandfather specifically. Their pride in Czechoslovakia has been a large part of Stodola heritage. This beer is brewed with classic Saaz hops and plenty of comforting malt.
This Czech Dark Lager was inspired by the classic Munich dunkel, though this Czech interpretation has a noticeably richer body. A beautiful color and richness on the tongue, adds to the hoppiness and overall balance of this not-so-common Czechoslovakian beer. Stodola hopes you can feel the V-twin rumble and the heritage of his family love.
