My Turn: Towny Milwaukee Märzen

Towny, Brewer here at Lakefront, made this Milwaukee Märzen. As the sun peaks over the horizon, Towny hustles to gather malt, water and hops together for their millennia-old dance, making wort for a whole hungry generation of yeast to turn into beer. He also handles his share of the much less poetic cleaning around the brewhouse.

Between hoisting malt to a hopper and sanitizing every square inch of the brewhouse, it’s hard work being the oft-sung folk hero of beer drinkers everywhere. To compensate, Towny keeps his moxie pounding pavement around Milwaukee on frequent jogs. Finally, Towny unwinds reclining on his deck with his cat, Jasper, his dog, Buster, and a good book.
