National Cheese Curd Day

As one of the top representatives of fried cheese curds in the Midwest, Lakefront Brewery cordially invites you to celebrate National Cheese Curd Day with us on Tuesday, October 15th! We will open our doors early at 11AM to give fans ample time to join the party. The 7th annual event will feature our gold standard beer-battered curds with our classic garlic ranch, specialty flavors, and the return of the Lakefront Brewery Cheese Curd Pull Competition.

Every Thursday is a Curdsday at Lakefront where we feature our cheese curds with a different specialty flavor. This year, 3 of our most popular flavors are making a return for the big day.

Chicken Fried Cheese Curds – A little bit of chicken fried, a cold beer on a Tuesday night. Fresh cheddar cheese curds are battered and breaded then deep fried and seasoned with 11 secret spices. Served with brown gravy for dipping.

General Tso’s – Sweet, spicy, and savory. Fresh cheddar cheese curds are battered, breaded, and deep fried, then tossed in sweet and spicy sauce. Topped with chili pepper flakes and chives.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – The favorite ice cream flavor is now a cheese curd variety! Fresh cheddar cheese curds are tossed in a sweet batter then breaded with chocolate chip cookie crumbles and deep fried. Topped with cookie dough chunks and served with chocolate syrup.

All 4 options will be available in our standard portion size, usually good for 2 to 3 people. Guests can order all 3 specialty flavors for a $3 discount.

Our Gluten-Free CurdWagon will be out front from 5PM to 7PM dishing out gluten-free regular curds for those that wish to celebrate safely!

It wouldn’t be a proper cheese curd party without some fun and games! Teams of 2 can sign up to compete in the Lakefront Brewery Cheese Curd Pull Competition. Sign up will be free and available upon arrival for the next competition (occurring as early as 12PM and as late as 7PM based on demand). Once signed up, teams will meet near the stage, attempt to select the stretchiest curd from the bunch, step up to the pull markers, and test their dexterity! The team with the longest cheese curd string from each competition will receive two $15 gift cards from yours truly. Must be 21+ to compete unless accompanied by a parent.
