About the Brew
The Porter style harkens back to a time of lifting heavy, wooden-slatted shipping crates onto boats, by hand. Okay, maybe not 100% by hand. They probably had utility dollies and ramps, and the like. Work smart, not hard, after all. But, even working as smart as possible, it was still hard work, and the blokes who did it—porters—enjoyed the golden-brown biscuit and nutty caramel malt flavors of the beer bearing their namesake.
