National Cheese Curd Day 2026

You knew we’d be back for another helping of National Cheese Curd Day! On Thursday, October 15th, we’ll open our doors at 3pm ready to dole out our famous, award-winning, and arguably best fried cheese curds in Wisconsin. As always, the event will feature the gold standard beer-battered curds (with equally famous garlic ranch), specialty curd flavors, and the return of our original Lakefront Brewery Cheese Curd Pull Competition.

Drumroll please! For this year’s National Cheese Curd Day, the following flavors will be available:
> WI SUPPER CLUB PRIME RIB
Rich and savory dark lager-battered cheese curds breaded with prime rib-seasoned bread crumbs and served with a side of creamy horseradish sauce and au jus.  Not your typical Saturday night special, these two classics merge for an intensely Wisconsin experience. Pairs well with Riverwest Stein.
> CARROT CAKE
Spiced cake-battered cheese curds breaded with graham crackers and Biscoff cookie crumbs and topped with ribbons of cream cheese frosting. Warm, sweet and aromatic with a bit of tang will take your senses on a pleasant cheese curd driven adventure. Pairs well with Eastside Dark.
> MANGO CHILE LIME
Sweet mango and zesty citrus beer-battered curds breaded with crushed chile tortilla chips, topped with chile lime seasoning, and drizzled with herbaceous cilantro lime sauce. For the venturesome who like a little exotic zip in their lives, we dare you to try this wild new flavor. Pairs well with Hazy Rabbit.

For those with gluten intolerances, we’ve got you covered too! We’ll be frying up gluten-free curds in a separate fryer IN the Beer Hall LIVE for those looking to witness the magic in person with our Executive Chef, Kristin Hueneke. (while supplies last). All specialty and gluten-free curds will be $14 per order (serves 2-3). Regular curds will run the typical $13. Order all three of the specialty curds above for a discounted $40. Specialty curd flavors will only be available in person for dine-in or takeout. Please note that our October Curd of the Month flavor will be taking a well-deserved day off.

Back by popular demand, the Lakefront Brewery Cheese Curd Pull Competition will be running all evening long! Teams of two can sign up at our entrance for the next available competition, free of charge. The time for each curd pull battle will be announced in person, but will likely occur every hour at a minimum. Once signed up, teams will meet near the stage, attempt to select the stretchiest curd from the bunch, step up to the pull markers, and test their dexterity! The team with the longest cheese curd string from each competition will receive two $15 gift cards from yours truly.
Must be 21+ to compete unless accompanied by a parent.
